Finally, five months after I sketched this, I have your badge for you, Synny! Gahd I hope you like this. I'm actually really pleased with the way it came out, I can't wait to get my AC adapter out so I can (my computer willing) FINALLY get this a proper scan. I promise I'll upload that as soon as the people at the Best Buy parts center mail me another AC adapter. Ugh. -_-
Oh, and Syn, I think I might have asked before, but I forgot: are you going to AC this year? I need to know whether you actually want this in person or not. [If you do I'll go ahead and cut it out and get it laminated, but if not then I'll just leave it in my sketchbook and such. 8)]
As usual, Prismacolour markers and Microns for the inking, with a white gel pen on top for the shinies.
Enjoy!
ETA: SUPA KAWAII SCAN GET. Now it's better and all that stuff. 8)
DEAR SWEET JESUS H. CHRIST! The face is WIN, the hair and tail fluff in WIN, the clothing is WIN, the whole damn thing is WIIIIIIIIIN! -click, save- I can't imagine how gorgeous this must look IRL!
haha, i like the weight she has on her though.. she doesnt look like shed break when the wind blows :3. I especially like the white highlights on the arms and legs and the scheme of her hair :3
Haha, she does, doesn't she? I just kinda went "whooOOOoooo" on this one in a lot of places and just sorta let shit come out, so the proportions and the anatomy is a little wonky and overly-dramatized in a lot of places, but I'm generally pretty pleased with it. 8) And dear god, THANK YOU for the comment on the weight. I was worried I didn't make her pudgy enough, but I think that upon reconsideration I did give her enough heft/bulk overall to make her look...not scrawny and waify.
Haha, thanks babe! I always have a hard time with the highlights on the hair; almost every time I put that one broken white line across the bangs and just seconds after I do I look at it and go "...shit. That just totally ruined the whole fucking thing, didn't it." But this one, I actually DON'T FEEL THAT WAY. *shock and awe* I've been trying to work at making it look less horrid when I do it, so I'm glad to hear it's working, at least to some degree. ^^

AAAANNnnnzzzzz! D: You are too kind to meeeeee *wigglyfingers*
THANK YOU, thank you babyyyy. I want to eat your face in a very sexy way right now. (With lurrvvvv. <3)
It looks SO MUCH BETTER irl, TRUST ME. The photo is absolutely HORRID, especially since it makes everything below her neck look all bleached out and bleh, and killed my lines and shading and such. >8 *pouts*
But your comment still made my day, and ilubb <333
D: I have this lovely little art supply store that's about twenty minutes from my house called Rileystreet that carries them. I'd tell you to look for the store nearest you, but I think it's a one-of-a-kind thing. D: Otherwise I have no idea where to get them except to look online.
Amazon has a good six pen set, with sizes 005, 01, 02, 03, 05, and 08, which is nice because it's less expensive than buying them individually. [I typically use 01 or 02 for the initial inking, go over it with 02 or 03 (the next size up, depending on which one I used first), and sometimes go over the outer edges or bigger/bolder lines with an 05, and usually use the 08 to fill in bigger areas of pure black or whatever. The 005 is bitty, but it's kinda nice to have, just in case. I think I had one once, but I lost it. 8(]
Dick Blick art supplies also has all the pens in stock as well as a three-size set (01, 03, 05), which is a nice combo, I don't know that you really need any more than that unless you're as obsessive as I am about the precision of varying your line weight, heh.
As for the gel pens, they're made by the same company as the Microns (Sakura), so I would imagine that wherever you can find Microns, you can find they're Gelly Rolls, which is what I use (they seem to have the smoothest ink flow out of the ones I've tried). Dick Blick has 'em, but only in metallic colours. 8/ I'd call any art or office supply stores in your nearby vacinity (sometimes Office Depot has 'em, surprisingly enough), since they tend to be qualified as either art or office supplies. I once got a bunch of Gelly Rolls at a Hallmark store, so you never know.
I hope you can find some sweetie! ;; Otherwise I'll just have to buy you a pack and a couple white gel pens and mail them to you filled with love and noodles. <33
Gah, thank you sweetie. D:
You flatter me. *clings*
I love it that you appreciate all my obsessive-compulsive attention to details and such, I really do. >8
