Yeah I'm retarded, I know. Sorry for not posting anything in like, AGES.
Anyway. Here is something dumb and inane I've been spending lots of time on. Let's call it a mock-up for a character idea I've been throwing around in my head for a while that's finally sort of coagulating inside my funny little brain. Basically this came out of the fact that I wanted a character I could put bright clothes on, but who represented me in a similar way to the way Savvy does.
So. This is Ruben. She's sort of like the Yin to Savvy's Yang. Or something. Anyway I get to give her long hair and fluffy ears and whatever the hell else I feel like doing. Markings are still being worked, nose and species blend has yet to be decided, etc. etc. etc., buuuut I got to give her pink hair and take her fur colours from a pineapple, so I was happy. 8)
atm she looks sort of like a jackal or something, doesn't she. Hmm.
I will continue working on her later, I just kinda wanted to let everyone know I am alive and working on things. (: I was in SoCal all weekend and I have LA on the brain, so ah, I think Ruben's gonna end up being my artsy fashion-conscious LA chick, as well, haha. <3

The shirt is from Wet Seal and the shoes are from Asia Jam. I want them both. 8|
* Yes, Ruben gets her name from the painter. He really liked drawing thick, voluptuous women, and so women of that body type have come to be called "Rubenesque" after him. I just had art history today and felt it was fitting. (:
Why yes, as a matter of fact, her design was originally inspired by a pineapple. Yeah, I was sort of letting my mind wander along the subject of this new character I wanted to create, and I couldn't think of the right colour base for her fur to be and then BLAM, my mind was like OH HAY THAT CUSTARD-Y WHITE/CREAM COLOUR THAT'S ON THE INSIDES OF PINEAPPLES, THAT'LL WORK. And so it began.
Tiny text because I'm obnoxious like that and want you all to eventually go blind because of me.
ETA: OLOLOL, she looks too much like Odille, and that bothers me. 8| I am making her mostly sitatunga ATM, buuut now she reminds me of Honovi. 8| ANNOYED. Oh well. She's like...a bizarre mixture of several people, actually, haha. THEY'LL LIVE.
